We aim to keep our clients informed by sending information on subjects from keeping warm during the winter to keeping cool in the summer and advice on the annual flu vaccine program.
Keeping Warm This Winter

Keeping yourself warm in winter is very important, especially for older people, as it is clear that more people fall ill in cold weather, and some of the illnesses people get, such as pneumonia and bronchitis, can be fatal.
During the Autumn we send out the booklet "Keep Warm - Keep Well" to all our clients and workers. We can help by looking out for signs that someone may need help, especially in cold weather.
Keeping yourself cool in the summer is very important especially for older people or those with chronic or severe illnesses. If the temperature exceeds 31° during the day and 16° at night you may get dehydrated and you may overheat. In extreme circumstances heatstroke can develop which can be fatal.
